The AmpForceEV app

We’re excited to announce our redesigned app is now live! The AmpForceEV app allows you to find our chargers, pay for charging, and review your charging history. You will need to use it every time you charge at one of our charging stations.

 

First time setup

Please complete the following steps only during your initial setup. After the first time, you can skip these steps and proceed directly to the next section.

 
1. Download the app

Our app is available for download on the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.

 
2. Register for an account

Follow the in-app instructions to register for a new account. A valid e-mail address and phone number are required.

 

Setting up for charging

 

1. Connect the EV charger to your EV charging port

A charger must be physically connected to the EV before it will accept the activation signal from the app. Make sure the charging gun is properly connected to the charging port or adapter before continuing with the next steps.

 

2. Make sure your phone has a working Internet connection

The app must be able to communicate with our platform and/or the payment processor. If you are in an underground area with no cellular signal and no available WiFi network, leave the EV connector plugged in and move to an area where you have a reliable Internet connection.

 

3. Check your AmpForce wallet balance

Our app uses a pre-paid virtual wallet system, so you will need to add some funds to your wallet before charging. You can add funds via Google Pay or Apple Pay, or you can provide credit card details manually. We recommend pre-loading at least $50 so you don’t need to reload as often.

 

4. Activate the charger

Each charger has a unique ID code (referred to as CID). The CID will be visible on a printed label on or near the charger. Alternatively, scan the corresponding QR code to jump directly to the charger’s activation page if you have a working Internet connection. Then follow the instructions inside the app to start your charging transaction.
